Ryan Colucci

Ryan is an alumnus of the prestigious Peter Stark Producing MFA Program at USC. He received his BA in Film Studies and Production from Hofstra University, graduating Suma Cum Laude. Before that he pursued a degree in Accounting from Villanova University and spent a year at Cambridge University in England studying Economics and Political Science.

He has over a decade of experience in the film industry, getting his start working in development for Artisan/Lionsgate and Disney. Recently, Ryan directed and wrote the feature thriller Suburban Cowboy, which was released in the Fall of 2017. In 2014, he co-wrote and produced With You, a film directed by Grammy-nominated EDM artist Dirty South based on his album of the same name. It debuted at #1 on iTunes in the fall of the same year. In post-production is the sci-fi actioner White Space, which he produced and co-wrote. Ryan was a producer on the CG-animated feature Battle for Terra 3D, which was released through Lionsgate nationwide in May of 2009.

Currently in production, Ryan is co-directing, producing and wrote the hand-drawn animated film Orient City, with Zsombor Huszka. Their short of the same name is in the midst of a successful festival run, having already won Best Short Film at Lund International Film Festival in Sweden. Zsombor and Ryan are also in production on the CG-animated holiday film Krampus, along with a children’s illustrated book series.

Ryan is attached to produce an adaptation of George R.R. Martin's World Fantasy Award Winning The Skin Trade, a horror novella by the acclaimed NY Times #1 best-selling author of A Game of Thrones.

Ryan started Spoke Lane Entertainment to produce a variety of genre fare for the publishing and film worlds. The first project out of his banner was the graphic novel Harbor Moon; the werewolf spaghetti western was nominated for a Goodreads and Horror Comic Award for Best Original Graphic Novel. His follow-up graphic novel, R.E.M., debuted to rave reviews at NY Comic-con 2013. His graphic novels Bulderlyns and Chasing Rabbits are currently in production and look to make their debut in 2018. Spoke Lane is also publishing the original manga series Orange Lif3 by acclaimed Russian artist Lemon5ky.

Karol is Spoke Lane's webmaster responsible for development and maintenance of all SL's websites. He also co-edits Spoke Lane's books, including lettering and pre-press, scouts for fresh talents.

At the age of 18, Zsombor Huszka was a professional fencer for the Hungarian National Fencing Team. In 2012, he earned his MSc in Architecture and Engineering at Budapest University of Technology and Economics. After his first art exhibit in 2010, he was chosen to participate at The National Exhibition of Digital Artworks. Since then, Zsombor has worked as a 2D animation director, graphic novel artist and illustrator.

Zsombor is currently animating, directing, producing and scoring the hand-drawn feature Orient City. The short film it is based on, Orient City: Ronin & The Princess, has already won a handful of awards while on the festival circuit. Also in production, Zsombor is co-directing and lead visual artist for the children’s holiday film Krampus with Ryan Colucci. His hand-drawn title sequence for the feature film Suburban Cowboy was nominated for Excellence in Title Design at the 2016 SXSW Festival alongside studio hits Spectre, Avengers: Age of Ultron and the Netflix series Daredevil.

As an artist, he collaborated with Ryan Colucci on the graphic novel R.E.M., which debuted in the fall of 2013 after it became a huge crowdfunding success on Kickstarter. He also provided artwork for numerous graphic novels such as Noah Dorsey's Saint Chaos, Ninja Genesis by Brent Cote and safeKill by Craig von Wiederhold. He is currently drawing the children’s illustrated book Krampus and graphic novel Chasing Rabbits with Ryan Colucci.

Besides illustrating several Hungarian advertising campaigns, Zsombor has worked on projects for a variety of music artists, such as directing the music video for The Voice finalist Viktor Kiraly’s Chasing Demons and animating the music video Love is Overrated for Hungarian pop star Linda Kiraly. He provided all artwork for With You, an album and subsequent film by Grammy-nominated EDM artist Dirty South. The film debuted at #1 on iTunes in the fall of 2014.

When not working, Zsombor can be found training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu daily.
